The Ross County Grand Jury convened on Friday. Members were presented with twelve cases with all twelve returned at true bills. Of those, only three were open to the public.
According to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office, Craig Blanton, 21, of Lucasville, was indicted on a single fifth-degree felony count of theft.
The alleged offense took place on June 12th when Chillicothe Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart on a report of a theft.
Mr. Blanton was accused of pushing a cart full of merchandise out of the store without paying.
Officers were able to detain Mr. Blanton following a brief struggle, and he was found to be in possession of more than $11-hundred in stolen merchandise.
