A COUNCIL has been criticised for failing to address road safety problem in Rhos-on-Sea in time for Easter. Last year the promenade in Rhos-on-Sea was improved and widened to create a shared footpath and cycleway, which has resulted in a narrowing of the roadway. It has resulted in a pinch point when cars are parked opposite the promenade adjacent to the Angler’s Bar, causing single file traffic and delays and inconvenience for motorists. Resident and campaigner Jo Nuttall organised a petition to try to resolve the issue, which has been singed by hundreds of residents. Darren Millar MS supported residents and worked with county councillor Jay Lusted and Colwyn Bay town councillor Glenys Baker to urge Conwy County Borough Council to come up with a solution.
