The Old Shillelagh.
It was clear that the COVID-19 pandemic had hit Michigan around this time last year, with officials canceling Detroit s longstanding St. Patrick s Day Parade. A year later and the virus remains a threat: Detroit s St. Patrick s Day Parade is once again canceled, but the state has loosened restrictions to allow bars and restaurants to open for indoor dining again. Remember: gathering in a crowd without a mask is still dangerous, but if you re determined to drink a beer and eat a corned beef sandwich, we looked up to see what local bars are doing this year.

How much is your House worth in 2021?
At the start of last year, we had no idea that two parents would end up working from home for long periods, with the kids also locked in with them full time.
For this reason, it looks like it’s going to be busy year for estate agents in Dublin 6W. Homeowners who saw their values remain static through the long Covid months are now keen to trade up, once the right house is available.
There is movement at the €800,000 to €1m high end with homes that wouldn’t sell a year previous, now changing hands without difficulty.
Ferndale restaurant One-Eyed Betty’s closed temporarily for renovations this week, but plans to pop up on the patio at sister restaurant Rosie O’Grady’s on West Nine Mile Road, according to the Detroit News. The renovation includes new booths and televisions inside and a new patio created from a shipping container.
News of the renovation comes following an alarming Facebook post on Wednesday that simply read, “just to let everyone know Betty’s is closing.” with no indication the closure of the restaurant is merely temporary. Commenters on Facebook were quick to point out the insensitive nature of the post, given the growing number of southeast Michigan restaurants which have closed permanently during the pandemic.
One-Eyed Betty s in Ferndale is temporarily closing for renovations
A popular downtown Ferndale hangout is temporarily closing for renovations.
One-Eyed Betty s Facebook page on Wednesday shocked customers with an ominous post stating just to let everyone know Betty’s is closing .
That s only half the truth, though, as server Lauren Waters confirmed the closing is only temporary. Known for burgers, pinball games and a massive craft beer selection, spacious One-Eyed Betty s is closing down its carryout operation Monday from the restaurant. We re going to be doing a pop-up on the Rosie O Grady s patio and while we remodel the inside of this location . then we re going to move right back over, said Waters. Rosie O Grady s is the sister restaurant to One-Eyed Betty s and is one block over, also in downtown Ferndale.
