The slip occurred yesterday, resulting in contractors being called to the site to clear the riverside road. The majority of the debris blocking the road was subsequently cleared, but the busy route remained reduced to one lane as of this morning.
The slip is the second at the site in the past month, with a similar pile of rocks and debris reducing the road to one lane earlier in March.

Contractors have repaired a slip on to Anzac Parade enough for the highway to return to two lanes.
The landslide near Georgetti Rd blocked one lane of Anzac Pde/State Highway 4 for part of last week, with 30km/h speed limits in place.

Road resurfacing on State Highway 3 near Whanganui is causing havoc for motorists, with many reporting chipped or cracked windscreens and damaged vehicles. The roadworks, in Kaitoke near Concord Line, have a temporary 30km/h speed limit, as well as occasional stop/go traffic management.
A motorist this week posted on social media about the condition of the road - and the post attracted hundreds of comments from concerned and frustrated road users.
