ISLAMABAD: Sharing some good news, Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday said Roshan Digital Account inflows had crossed $1.5 billion, with investment in Naya Pakistan Certificates surpassing $1 billion. In a tweet, the prime minister said,” Good news from SBP. Roshan Digital Account achieves more milestones. Inflows crossed dollars 1.5 billion on Friday, with investment in Naya Pakistan Certificates surpassing dollar 1 billion. Accounts and deposits have set new records since the dollar 1 billion event two months ago”.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Roshan Digital Account (RDA) has achieved more milestones as the inflows crossed $1.5 billion on Friday and investment in Naya Pakistan Certificates is surpassing $1 billion.
In a tweet on Sunday, the prime minister while sharing the good news from the State Bank of Pakistan said the accounts and deposits have set new records since achieving the milestone of $1 billion two months ago.
PM Khan inaugurated the Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) service in September as part of a joint effort by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the government, and eight commercial banks to integrate overseas Pakistanis with the country’s banking system.

HABIBMETRO and Indus Motor Company (IMC) handed over the first HABIBMETRO Roshan Apni Car (RAC) to the family members of an overseas Pakistani on Friday. Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Dr. Reza Baqir was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Reza Baqir, Governor SBP, elaborated Prime Minister, Imran Khan’s vision of connecting the Pakistani diaspora with their loved ones in Pakistan through enhanced financial services and attractive opportunities to invest their savings in their homeland. He said that he was delighted to see that the RAC initiative was helping overseas Pakistanis to fulfil the needs of their families in Pakistan and hoped it would create additional demand for the car manufacturers and allied industries to grow at a brisk pace.

On his Twitter account, the prime minister posted an index of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showing cumulative inflows of deposits in the Roshan Digital Account, terming it good news.
He said that the accounts and the deposits had set new records since $1bn inflow was recorded two months ago.
Roshan Digital Account is a banking facility available to Pakistani expatriates, which allows them to have access to banking services within the country without having to visit a consulate, embassy or a physical bank branch.
