The Book Nook, a place for children and parents to enjoy reading, will open Friday at Sunland Park Mall.
“We are excited to bring this unique space to Sunland Park, to cultivate a love of reading among our guests,” Kelley Baker, general manager at Sunland Park Mall, said in an email.
“The Book Nook is one more way we are providing gathering spaces for our guests and fostering a sense of community, through the various events we are planning to host. We are bringing the library experience to our guests, one book at a time,” she added.

DENVER History Colorado has debuted an online archive this week of 1,300 pages of original Ku Klux Klan membership records from 1924 through 1926, previously on public display at the History Colorado Center in downtown Denver.
History Colorado digitized the hate group’s ledgers, which include 30,000 people, to highlight the widespread racism built into the city’s political and cultural history, The Denver Post reported.
The organization received a $5,000 grant from the Colorado Historical Records Advisory Board to digitize the records, History Colorado Chief Operating Officer Dawn DiPrince said.
