City of Sheridan Community Development Director Wade Sanner says the proposed PUD consists of 5.65 acres located at the southeast corner of the intersection of 5th Street and Black Tooth Way. Wade Sanner The Planned Unit Development requires a rezone from the B-1 zone district to the PUD zone district, as well as a subdivision from one lot to 30 pad lots. The ordinance requires one more reading for approval of the proposed PUD.

Trial Date Set for Sheridan Man Charged With Three Counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor Cody Knode pleaded “not guilty” to three counts of Third Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor at an arraignment hearing in District Court Thursday. The alleged crimes occurred between November 1, 2020, and January 4 of this year. District Court Judge John Fenn scheduled a three-day jury trial to begin on Monday, November 29, and set the pretrial conference for November 2 at 9 am. Knode was sentenced last month to 1 ½ to 2 years in prison for the charge of Felony Taking a Controlled Substance Into Jail for attempting to take methamphetamine into the Sheridan County Detention Center on January 11. Knode was sent to jail because he had his probation revoked for several failed drug tests through Sheridan County Probation and Parole. He was convicted of Felony Strangulation of a Household Member in February of 2019 and sentenced to 3 to 5 years in prison, which was suspended in lieu of supervised probati

Border Support In collaboration with the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security, Governor Gordon has been in active negotiations to deploy assets to assist states in addressing the border crisis. Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey have publicly requested assistance from the nation’s governors in dealing with the issue. In a media release from the Governor’s Office, Gordon said law-enforcement issues at the border and uncontrolled illegal immigration threaten every part of our nation, including Wyoming, and it is absolutely essential that our nation’s borders are secure. Governor Gordon added that it is clear that the Biden Administration is not addressing the problem with the level of seriousness it requires and Wyoming is ready and willing to provide support to address this critical issue.
