A new model of assisted living is to coming to Inverness, with a later living village planned alongside a new care home in Milton of Leys.
Parklands Care Homes’ 11 property development has been approved by Highland Council, with construction likely to begin this summer.
The later living village will sit near to Parklands’ 59-bed care home, already approved for the site.

A new £5.5 million care home for the Black Isle is now just weeks from welcoming its first residents.
Operators Parklands Care Homes has confirmed the new care home, named Eilean Dubh, will open during the week starting March 15.
The final touches are being made to the 40-bed facility, built by construction firm CHAP and designed by Inverness-based architects CRGP Limited.
Eilean Dubh is Parklandsâ biggest single investment to date and will be the groupâs ninth care home.
