Thunder Bay Police Service has received complaints relating to hot dog wieners with sharp objects inserted into them being intentionally placed where family pets may consume them.
An officer with the Uniform Patrol Branch was dispatched to the 200 block of Perth Crescent just after 7:50 pm on Monday, December 21, 2020 following reports a dog ingested a piece of hotdog meat that appeared to have sharp objects inserted into it.
Further investigation revealed homeowners had located several pieces of hotdog meat that had been tampered with and placed in their yards.

Thunder Bay Police Service officers with the Uniform Patrol Branch were dispatched just after 5:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14 to the corner of Farrand and Argyle Streets following reports of a motor-vehicle collision.
When officers arrived on the scene they observed the involved pickup truck matched the description of a vehicle previously reported as driving erratically. Concerned citizens called 911 about a suspected impaired driver travelling northbound on Fort William Road.
