Police say they will charge the driver of a Sport Utility Vehicle which hit a pedestrian in an incident captured on video earlier this month.
Head of the police traffic department, Assistant Superintendent Rodney Ellis says the surveillance footage circulating on social media is from an April 1 incident on Market Street.
It shows the moment a female pedestrian attempts to cross the street in slow-moving traffic ahead of a Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV.
The SUV suddenly speeds up, slamming the woman into a silver car.
The 39-year-old woman is seen holding her hip as she goes down to the ground.
