State, local officials react to U.S. Capitol riot
R-H Staff
WASHINGTON State and local officials have released statements concerning the riots in the nation’s capital that breached the U.S. Capitol building on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
Newly elected Preble County Commissioners Adam Craft and Rachael Vonderhaar reacted to the news after their commission meeting on Monday, Jan. 11.
Craft: “I just think it’s unfortunate for our nation that we’ve been put in such a position that we’re so divided right now,” he said. “And regardless of what happens, we need to unify, and we need to come together and we need to be Americans, and we need to forget the petty politics of the whole thing.”
Marshall supports Cox for House District 43
We Deserve A Leader in Columbus
House District 43 (Preble and part of Montgomery) needs a leader in Columbus who will put people first and work for us, and Amy Cox is that leader.
Amy can work with students, schools, teachers, and unions to fix the broken unconstitutional Ohio education system that the Ohio General Assembly has not solved in years.
Amy also will work to increase the working wage for Preble and Montgomery County families. And, she will continue to fight to guarantee health care for insured and underinsured families.
This election is about putting people in the 43rd District in a stronger better place and getting us the serious help our families need in this troubled time.
Wick: New commissioner must make “future of Preble County their priority”
Dear Editor,
I would like to make the citizens aware of an important decision the Republican Central Committee will make in the coming days to fill the commissioner seat vacated by State Representative Rodney Creech.
It is critical for Preble County that the person selected will make the future of Preble County their priority. Gone are the days when our commissioners were reactive and not proactive. No more of commissioners personal priorities first on the agenda and the county’s needs secondary. We don’t need former commissioners selected because they have leadership experience. If these persons had shown good leadership, they wouldn’t be former commissioners.
