As we get closer to the halfway mark of the year, the 2021
HipHopDX Rising Stars continue to deliver and make waves with new music, bigger collaborations, and creative ways to keep relevancy ongoing.
This week the Rising Stars kept their promises by delivering solid bodies of work and continuing to push their music – shout out to 42 Dugg, Toosii, and Morray on their recent drops. Besides showing-off hefty chains on the Gram (
cough, cough Sheff G); joining Chris Brown on one of the hottest remixes out (Blxst); and hitting a No. 1 charting spot with J. Cole (Morray); one of the
Rising Stars alleges to have been a casualty of racism by a famous TikToker.

DaBaby + Friends Concert At The Orlando Amphitheater
The wrong “Rockstar” was honored during the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 23rd). As Da Baby went to the stage to pick up his award for Top Rap Song for his song, “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Rich, Post Malone’s song “Rockstar” played in the background. Twitter picked up on the mixup, however, it didn’t seem to bother DaBaby too much. As he jogged up on stage he pointed to the awards that were sitting out for him saying, “It’s Me? It’s Me?, I’ll live with that,” obviously poking fun at the blunder. DaBaby beat out Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage” and Cardi B and Megan’s hit single “WAP.”

It was a helluva 2020 for Lil Durk as he collaborated with the likes of Drake and of course the Hip-Hop legend known as Nas, but the man is his own artist who can carry his own tunes and today reps Chiraq as only he can with some new work.
Releasing some new visuals for the Pooh Shiesty assisted “Should’ve Ducked,” Lil Durk assembles his crew to burn down some trees, drink some “juice” and count stacks of cash at the hangout spot.
DJ Khaled meanwhile keeps churning out visuals like their Tik Tok videos and for his clip to “Body In Motion,” links up with Bryson Tiller, Lil Baby and Roddy Rich on a yacht where the women are bountiful, beautiful and make it bounce like nobody’s business.
