When we lived in Colorado, we never had an interruption of our gas service or an extensive electricity outage, even though it gets much colder there. I moved here from Florida two years ago because my kids and grandkids live here. The disruption in electricity in Texas in February was pathetic. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas said we re lucky the whole system didn t shut down for months, which would have resulted in no electricity or heat for months. Without electricity, gas pumps and grocery stores can t operate.

May 1, 2021 Diane “Dee” Lynn Ross Klinger, 67, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born August 12, 1953, in Tranquility, NJ, daughter of Alberta Raymond Ross and the late R. Roland Ross. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by sister, Susan Singer. Dee was a case manager at the Work Force, Wheeling, WV and a member of New Life United Methodist Church. She was involved in both the Girl & Boy Scouts and the PTA as her children were growing up. She was past president of the local PTA unit, Ohio County PTA and the West Virginia PTA.

Jan 30, 2021 Ernest L. “Ernie” Blanchard, age 86, of Johnstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, with his son and daughter at his side, in the home he built in the 1950s. He was quickly called to heaven by his beautiful bride of 67 years, Marion, who recently passed away on January 15, 2021. He was born on March 31, 1934, in Gloversville, to the late John Blanchard and Flora Swart Blanchard. Early on, Ernie was employed by the NYS railroad system. Later becoming employed by local tanneries as a leather worker, he finally settled at the Leavitt-Berner Tanning Corp., where he eventually retired. He was a volunteer firefighter at Sir William Johnson Volunteer Fire Department for many years and took great pride in owning his own lawnmower sales and repair shop.
