Dagupan City, Pangasinan still topped the areas with the highest heat index values registered on Sunday at 49 degrees Celsius (°C).
The heat index is the measurement of how hot it feels when relative humidity is factored in with the actual air temperature.
The following stations recorded the top 20 heat index values on Sunday, based on the monitoring of the PAGASA.

The heat index in Dagupan City, Pangasinan soared to 53 degrees Celsius (°C) at around 2 p.m. on Friday, May 14, the highest heat index in the country so far in 2021.

The following stations recorded the highest heat index values on Friday, based on the monitoring of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Dagupan City, Pangasinan (53°C, 2 p.m.)
Sangley Point, Cavite (47°C, 2 p.m.)
Laoag City, Ilocos Norte (44°C, 2 p.m.)

In an advisory, the CSC said the exam will be held Regions VI, VII, IX, XII, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) on July 18.
The application period for the exam will run from May 14 to June 3.
The CSC said the acceptance of applications shall be on a first-come, first-served basis.
It reminded applicants that applications will be closed any time before the deadline if the CSC regional or field office has already reached its target number of applicants.

Catholics in the Philippines have begun preparations for the installation of Cardinal Jose Advincula as the 33rd archbishop of Manila.
He will succeed Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, who is now head of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples at the Vatican.
Manila apostolic administrator Bishop Broderick Pabillo has confirmed that the installation ceremony will take place on the morning of June 24 at Manila Cathedral.
