(WDBJ) - A driver died Saturday after he ran into a Ford F-150 along Route 40 in Franklin County. According to Virginia State Police, the two-vehicle crash occurred Saturday morning, two-tenths of a mile east of Henry Road. Bruce Benjamin Angell, 64 of Ferrum, was driving west along Route 40 in a Chevrolet Blazer, when he crossed the center line and hit the pickup. Angell was not wearing a seatbelt and was injured in the crash. He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Just before 9 a.m., undercover officers with HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), a task force made up of law enforcement members from Roanoke County, Roanoke City and Virginia State Police, spotted a car being driven by a known wanted man, who had multiple warrants out for his arrest in Roanoke County and Botetourt County.
