A relatively small number of students will return to school buildings in Paterson on June 8, two weeks before the final day of classes.
Under the plan, self-contained special education students in grades pre-K through 12, and students in English Language Learners newcomers programs at Public School No. 15 and the New Roberto Clemente School, will return on June 8.
All teachers will return to their buildings on July 1, Superintendent Eileen Shafer said in outlining the plan.
