The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 50-year-old Waterloo resident following a welfare fraud investigation. Deputies say Ronald Miller, 50, of Waterloo was charged with seven counts of offering a false instrument for filing. He’s accused of failing to disclose household income while receiving monetary benefits from Seneca County DHS. Miller was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.

Former Madison Township fire chief pleads guilty to child assault charges The former Madison Township fire chief who was arrested in February in connection to child sexual assaults entered a guilty plea on Tuesday.  Ronald Miller, 69, pleaded guilty in Butler County Common Pleas Court to three counts of gross sexual imposition involving a person under age 13, a third-degree felony. Miller was arrested by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 14  and was originally charged with two counts of rape and four counts of gross sexual imposition involving a minor.  In February, The Madison Township Fire Department said Miller has not been an active member of the department in more than 20 years in a Facebook post.
