Skateboarding
Tony Hawk is the ultimate skateboarder and someone who had a multi-generational influence in the way skaters ride the concrete.
He is one of the most recognized sportsmen on the planet and one of the best all-around skaters in the sport s history.
Whether Hawk is vert skating, pulling off tricks at street level, or shredding the local skatepark, he is always on top of his game.
Today, TH runs a skateboarding empire of apparel, gear, merchandising licenses, video games, and media content.
But business ventures have never stopped him from pushing the sport s limits and setting new heights for the Olympic sport.

Dream Demon
Scott Mercado (aka Manuok) is a vet of local bands such as Via Satellite, which he cofounded, as well as touring or recording with the Black Heart Procession, Mr. Tube & the Flying Objects, the Album Leaf, Tristeza, Ilya, and Lost Pets. Mercado has also produced acts from outside the local talent pool, including French folk-rock group Grimoon, who he met during the Black Heart Procession’s 2005 European tour. Mercado’s newest project Dream Demon pairs him with musicians from all over the left coast: Ben Heywood from L.A.’s Summer Darling, Mike Sparks and John O’Connell from Seattle’s He Whose Ox Is Gored, and Robert Cheek from By Sunlight (another Seattle group which has also featured Sparks and O’Connell). Their debut single “Hell” came out last year. “We’re releasing four EPs that’ll make up a double vinyl,” says Mercado. “Overall, the album will be mixed with ambient to hard rock music, ranging from The For Carnation to Can, to Tortoise, to S
Pro-skater s low-budget horror-rock trio previews upcoming Next to Pay LP
Video of Warish - Say To Please | Official Music Video | RidingEasy Records January 27, 2021
Riley Hawk s stoner-metal band Petyr was cool, but for our money, his self-described low-budget horror-rock outfit Warish is the pro-skater s best musical endeavor yet, a nasty, raucous mix of
Bleach-era Nirvana, Danzig-era Misfits and Gibby Haynes–fronted Ministry. The trio s upcoming sophomore LP,
Next to Pay, is due out April 30th (you can pre-order it here) and it takes their venomous sound next level. This album is more of an evolution, it s a little more punk-heavy, Hawk tells us. Thematically, it s about a sense of imminent doom, everyone is going to die, the vocalist-guitarist adds. It s not the happiest record, I guess.
