She often gets things started by 4:30 a.m. before embarking on workdays jam-packed full of office tours, command briefs and meeting with Airmen across various installations, which she calls the “best part of my job . hands down.”
After beginning the day before sunrise more than 1,000 miles away at
Wright-Patterson AFB around 1:30 p.m. June 2 for the start of a three-day visit. The chief immediately hit the ground running with a meet-and-greet at the 88th Communications Group.
Later on, she met with two outstanding performers, talked to Airmen and took a two-hour tour through Wright-Patterson Medical Center.

Airmen’s heroism, quick-thinking saves two lives from fatal vehicle accident
On March 23, what could have been a dire situation ended in the saving of two lives-thanks to the valor and heroism of two 88th Medical Group Airmen.
That Tuesday morning, Capt. Carly Kerr, an intensive care unit nurse at Wright-Patterson Medical Center, was driving to
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on her day off to assist with a vaccination pod when she witnessed a rollover-vehicle accident on Interstate 675 in Beavercreek.
As soon as Kerr arrived on scene, she realized there was a male still in the vehicle’s front-passenger side, while the female driver had been ejected from the vehicle with a potentially fatal leg injury.
