Pensacola Blue Wahoos Partnering With FDOH To Offer COVID-19 Vaccines  The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia), in partnership with the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, will offer free COVID-19 vaccines to fans at Blue Wahoos games on Tuesday, May 11, Saturday, May 15, and Sunday, May 16. Single-shot COVID-19 vaccines will be available to eligible fans ages 18 and up.  No appointments will be necessary for fans attending the games. 500 vaccine doses will be available at the ballpark in first-come, first-serve fashion. “We’re so excited for the opportunity to work together with the Florida Department of Health to offer vaccines to our fans,” Team President Jonathan Griffith said. “Helping get Pensacola vaccinated meets our mission as an organization to improve the quality of life in our community. Cleanup, damage assessment underway after powerful storms rip through River Region The Montgomery Advertiser 2 hrs ago Marty Roney, Montgomery Advertiser Replay Video UP NEXT Crews are out in River Region counties Wednesday morning clearing roads and removing downed trees in the wake of a line of severe thunderstorms that rumbled through the area Tuesday evening.  The whine of chainsaws mixed with the throaty growl of heavy equipment as the work went on. Widespread reports of trees down and trees on homes and buildings came in from Autauga, Elmore and Montgomery counties. There are still power outages in the counties as of 8 a.m. No injuries have been reported.
