RAWALPINDI: Pakistan are eyeing a rare opportunity to clean sweep a quality opposition following seven years of long wait as the second Test against South Africa begins here at the Pindi Stadium today (Thursday) amid hopes that playing strip would be more or less the same as the two teams found at the National Stadium in Karachi for the series opener.
It was in 2014-15 in the UAE when Pakistan last swept aside Australia 2-0. Since then there had been an anxious wait but the opportunity finally came here at the Pindi Stadium where Pakistan now hope to make South Africa pay for their inability to handle quality spin on a turning track.

One of the most mysterious whales of the ocean has been spotted off the Northland coastline, marking the first time it has ever been seen alive in New Zealand waters.
The Far Out Ocean Research Collective today announced the exciting and rare sighting of three Ginkgo toothed beaked whales swimming offshore at the top of the North Island in January.
To date most information about the elusive whales that live in the deepest depths of the planet has been gleaned from beach strandings, with some species never seen or photographed alive.

Rare tawaki or Fiordland crested penguins are not safe in a dedicated wildlife refuge thanks to dogs.
A spokesperson for the Department of Conservation said a dog was seen running loose in the Okahu/Jackson Bay, West Coast wildlife refuge and clumps of tawaki feathers were found in the coastal forest a short time later.
A tawaki penguin on another Haast beach had also been handed in by a member of the public who found it injured on the beach, with evidence of being attacked by a dog.
