ArtPrize: Project shares stories from disability community during pandemic and last updated 2021-05-03 08:34:36-04 GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — ArtPrize 2021 will be here before we know it and artists are already hard at work. Artist Oaklee Thiele is working in collaboration with DisArt on a special project that will be on display in the center of Grand Rapids at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. DisArt is an organization that creates public art events that cultivate and communicate a disability culture, and with Thiele they created the My Dearest Friends Project to show the lived experience of disability during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Announced last week, the association will inform retailers and restaurants about conventions, concerts, public events and cultural attractions that are happening in the Hotel District. Art In Bloom At The GRAM

Art In Bloom At The GRAM It has been announced that Art in Bloom will take place at the Grand Rapids Art Museum this weekend. If you re a GRAM member the event is free. Other patrons can expect to pay $15.  Art in Bloom is a bi-annual, one-weekend-only exhibition that celebrates the combined beauty of art and floral design. Visitors are invited to tour the museum and enjoy floral sculptures. The sculptures are inspired by the permanent art displayed throughout the museum.
