Acadia Parish deputies searching for runaway teen from Rayne

The Acadia Parish Sheriff s Office is asking for help in locating a runaway teen.
Deputies say 17-year-old Jessie Hebert was last seen on Tuesday, May 4 in the area of Buckskin Lane in Rayne.
Hebert was wearing a red shirt with the words Thing Dad, shorts and a black backpack.
The sheriff s office says that Hebert has family connections in Estherwood and may be heading in that direction.
Anyone with information on Hebert s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff s office at 337-788-8724.

Rayne Police Department has responded to multiple terrorizing incidents at local schools in the last week.
On Monday, April 12, 2021, Armstrong Middle School received multiple emails threatening a bombing and mass shooting event. An investigation identified a 14-year-old girl Armstrong student as the sender of the emails. The student was charged with five counts of terrorizing, according to police.
On Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 10:55 AM, Rayne High School received a bomb threat by telephone. The school was cleared of students. The campus was searched using multiple dogs trained to find explosive devices. No devices were found and the school was released back to staff at 1:30 PM. This matter is under investigation and an arrest is probable.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff s Office is asking for help from the public in locating a runaway 16-year-old from Rayne.
Deputies say Landon Lejeune left his home on April 6 and is believed to be in the Abbeville area.
The department re-shared a post on Tuesday, April 20, asking the community to share.
He is described as having brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who has seen Landon, or has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to call the Lafayette Parish Sheriffâs Office at (337) 232-9211, Crime Stoppers at (337) 232-TIPS(8477) or submit a tip on the Lafayette Sheriff App.
