CEDAR SPRINGS (WOOD-AM) - The Kent County Sheriff s Office is asking homeowners to lock their doors and windows and, if possible, invest in a home surveillance system after investigators say a naked man entered a woman s home in Cedar Springs.
It happened early Sunday. When I jumped up, I could see the silhouette of someone sitting. All my lights were off, and my dogs were like one was right here, and one was right here, and he had his hands up over his head and I flipped on the light and that’s when I realized that he was fully nude, Angela Schreuder told WOOD-TV.
House: Require financial info from officials, limit lobbying

LANSING, Mich. (AP) Elected state officials would be required to disclose personal financial information in annual reports and would be banned from becoming lobbyists until two years after leaving office under bills approved Wednesday in the House.
Michigan is among just two states where lawmakers do not have to file disclosure reports, which can reveal conflicts of interest.
The bipartisan legislation would mandate that legislators, the governor, attorney general, secretary of state and other state officers submit financial forms. But they would be kept secret until the officials exit office, drawing dissent from about three-dozen House members in what otherwise is a government ethics and transparency package with broad support.

The Statue of Liberty is about to get a visit from its little sister. France is sending a bronze replica of Lady Liberty to the United States. The replica will be on display at the French Embassy in Washington D.C. for the next ten years.
Before it arrives in D.C., the statue will be set up at Ellis Island from July 1 to July 5, where it will sit across the water from its 151-foot tall big sister.
The replica, which is ten feet tall and weighs 992 pounds, has been at the National Museum of Arts and Crafts (CNAM) in central Paris since 2011. It is one of 12 authorized casts of the original 1878 plaster model.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated its international travel guidance for over 120 countries. The agency removed 62 countries from the level 4 travel alert, which discourages any travel to those nations. Those countries included Japan, Canada, Mexico, Italy, France, and Germany, which were moved to the third tier, which advises that unvaccinated passengers should not travel to those destinations.
There are still 65 countries under the level 4 travel alert, including Brazil, Argentina, and the Netherlands. Those countries have reported more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the last 28 days.
The CDC also moved 33 countries, including Israel, South Korea, Singapore, and Iceland, into the lowest risk category, which means they have reported less than 50 cases of COVID-19 in the last 28 days.
