NorthCrest Activates Disaster Status Due To COVID-19 Case Spike Overnight
ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn News) – NorthCrest Medical Center has reactivated Disaster Status at 2:30 PM Thursday afternoon due to a patient overflow situation. In response to the situation, all elective surgical procedures have been canceled, according to NorthCrest CEO Randy Davis.
According to Davis, Northcrest Medical Center is treating
(27) positive COVID-19 patients, going from
(6 to 11) patient(s) in ICU overnight,
(8) of which are on ventilators.
“Over the last 24 hours, NorthCrest has doubled the number of COVID positive patients requiring ICU beds and ventilators,” Davis told Smokey Barn News. “COVID positive patients combined with non-COVID patients currently occupy all normally available beds, and we are holding a significant number of patients in our ER.
