A second-minute goal by C.J. Sapong against his former team was enough to lift host Nashville SC to a 1-0 victory against Philadelphia on Saturday and end the Union s eight-game unbeaten streak.
Joe Willis made four saves for his fifth shutout of the season as Nashville (4-1-6, 18 points) moved to 4-0-4 at home.
Andre Blake had two saves for the Union (5-3-4, 19 points), who failed to set the franchise points streak record. The 5-0-3 run matched the 3-0-5 marks from April 23-June 1, 2016, and Sept. 7-Oct. 15, 2011.
