Image Source: IANS News Patna, Feb 10 : Leaving behind the days of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) veterans L.K. Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi at the national level, the saffron party in Bihar seems to be taking a new turn after emerging as the single-largest party in the Assembly elections. In the state, the BJP has given indications of giving a platform to young leaders, sidelining veterans. In the Assembly elections held in 2020, although the party gave tickets to veteran leaders, they were, however, denied ministerial berths.

Nitish Kumar s Cabinet expansion today  |  Photo Credit: PTI Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar expanded his Cabinet on Tuesday.  Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Shahnawaz Hussain and Vikassheel Insaan Party s Mukesh Sahni, who were recently elected to the state Legislative Council as MLCs were sworn in as ministers in Nitish Kumar s Cabinet. Presently, Bihar has 14 ministers, including CM Nitish Kumar. The Bihar Assembly has 243 MLAs which means that the Cabinet can have 36 ministers. The new ministers will reach Raj Bhavan by afternoon. Their oath will be administered by Governor Phagu Chauhan.
