Why is it so hard to tackle Clutter Mountain?

Here we are again, home once more for the foreseeable, staring at the four walls and contemplating how to fit in all of the working-home-schooling-shopping-feeding-living required of us without necessarily turning to gin or Jesus.
Like last time, many of us will get through it by spending time on “improving” projects where once our social lives used to be. Now we’ve mastered the sourdough and the downward dog, improved our Italian and spruced up the garden, what next? We’ve done a whole lot of living in our homes these past 10 months.
