Saskatchewan re-extends COVID-19 worker training subsidy

Saskatchewan re-extends COVID-19 worker training subsidy SHARE ON: The Saskatchewan Government has re-extended the Re-Open Saskatchewan Training Subsidy for another two months. The RSTS provides funding so that businesses can train employees to align with COVID-19 safety protocols under the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan, and help them adjust to the impacts the pandemic has brought into the workplace. It covers 100 per cent of these costs for private-sector employers, up to a maximum of $10,000. Now, businesses will be able to take advantage of the program until June 31st, 2021. From the launch of the program in June 2020 until March 2021, it has provided over 1,000 applicants and distributed over $4 million in funding, the Government says.
