Sargodha, Khuzdar rallies put off: All set for march, says Fazlur Rehman

Top Story February 15, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The 10-party Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has cancelled its rallies in Sargodha and Khuzdar in view of the Senate elections and the planned long march. According to media reports, PDM chief Fazlur Rehman Sunday called PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in which both the leaders decided to cancel the PDM’s rallies in Sargodha on February 23 and in Khuzdar on February 27 to better prepare for the Senate elections and the long march. Fazl also directed all the component parties of the Movement to gear up their preparations for the Senate elections and long march. Meanwhile, Minister for Interior Shaikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday said the government will not create any hurdle in the PDM’s long march towards Islamabad. Addressing a function here, the minister said the long march participants would be ‘welcomed’ if they followed the law and the Constitution.

National February 8, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Interior Senator Abdul Rehman Malik on Sunday said the country is currently facing internal and external threats, both on eastern and southern borders which demand national unity as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was involved in anti-Pakistan moves. “Time and again, I have advised the government to go to the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. I appeal to the lawyers if the government does not go to the International Court of Justice, then the lawyers should go and I will fully support them,” he said while addressing an event organised at his residence here on Sunday.

Rehman Malik slams Imran Khan for playing politics on Kashmir Solidarity Day National February 6, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Senate Committee on Interior Chairman Abdul Rehman Malik has said what Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government did in response to Modi s anti-Kashmir measures. “I was shocked while listening to Prime Minister Imran Khan s speech who is still talking about NRO on the soil of Kashmir on the Kashmir Solidarity Day. The prime minister should have talked only about Kashmir and Modi s crimes against humanity on this day instead of playing politics,” he said while addressing a function on the Kashmir Solidarity Day, organized at his residence on Friday. The function was attended by Hurriyat leaders Abdul Hameed Lone, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Dr Mujahid Gilani, Raja Khadim Hussain, Shafi Dar, Zahid, Abid Khan Abbasi, Iftikhar Ahmed, Advocate Tanvir Ahmed and others.
