The San Bernardino County Sheriff s Victorville station reported Thursday that Deputy T. Kautz began an investigation on Jan. 13 into allegations of sexual abuse of a girl under the age of 18.  The victim’s mother told authorities she believed her daughter had been sexually assaulted between the time the girl left home without permission on Dec. 29 and when she returned the following day, the report said.

The driver of the van, later identified as Sada, a convicted felon, allegedly continued to drive recklessly. Near the intersection of Greenbriar and Wimbleton drives, Sada the drove the Caravan into a house, the report said.

She was 64. Wilmoth died Friday at her home in Victorville after recently being diagnosed with COVID-19, according to her niece, Laura Cotter, who said further details surrounding her passing were forthcoming. “We got together on Thanksgiving and just before Christmas,” said Cotter, 35, a resident of San Bernardino. “My aunt would frequently stop by, sometimes once a week, but we didn’t get to see her at Christmas because she wasn’t feeling well.”

2 teens arrested after fake handgun is used during carjacking in Victorville Victorville Daily Press San Bernardino County Sheriff s officials recently arrested two teenaged boys after the pair allegedly used a fake handgun to carjack victims in a neighborhood near the Mall of Victor Valley. On Monday, the Victorville Sheriff’s Station reported that the Jan. 21 carjacking occurred near the corner of Ironstone Avenue and Ironstone Place. Both streets are located in a residential neighborhood of Victorville, about two miles northwest of the mall.    Deputies responded to the scene at 4:48 p.m. Jan. 21, according to a sheriff s press release. An 18-year-old man reported that two men stole his 2010 Chevrolet HHR, a compact SUV, as well as cell phones belonging to him and his two passengers an 18-year-old woman and 14-year-old boy.

Piñon Hills man arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse of a child after months-long investigation Victorville Daily Press Authorities arrested a 34-year-old Piñon Hills man Monday on a felony sexual abuse charge that involved a minor following a months-long investigation that concluded earlier this month.   San Bernardino County Sheriff s detectives with the Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children Detail wrapped up their investigation into Jose Marquez-Trujillo on Jan. 11 after seven months, the department said in a Tuesday press release. During that time, the detectives found evidence that Marquez-Trujillo allegedly committed continuous sexual abuse of a minor under the age 14.
