MOUNDSVILLE Three members of the Moundsville Fire Department were recognized by city council for applying life-saving CPR to a pair of patients.
At Tuesday’s council meeting, firefighter Howard Henry III and firefighter/EMT Justin Williams, along with fire chief and paramedic Gary Brandon, were honored with the Star of Life award for their efforts on recent 911 calls.
In a statement, Brandon said during both calls, crews arrived to find their patients suffering cardiac arrest. After performing CPR and with the use of an AED, both patients regained a pulse, and retained a pulse until they could be received at a local emergency room.
