Working with sustainability and environmental consultancy Avieco, Renault Trucks UK & Ireland set out to understand, manage and improve its environmental and social impacts to create its strategy.
The Sustainability Initiative focuses on all direct and owned indirect emissions from the activities of the organisation.
A breakdown of 2019 emissions data shows that across all Renault Trucks UK & Ireland operations, 44% emissions were from travel, 52% energy and 4% other (waste, paper and water).
As well as encouraging energy saving behaviours, implementing a zero-waste strategy and other environmental innovations, over the coming decade the Renault Trucks network has also outlined its ambition to switch to 100% fossil free energy.

ENOC Group, a leading energy player operating across the energy value chain, has taken delivery of eight new C 380 Renault Trucks models, which will be used to deliver fuel to the Group’s service stations across the United Arab Emirates. All vehicles are supplied through United Diesel, a member of the Al Rostamani Group, Renault Trucks’ exclusive authorised distributor for Dubai and Northern Emirates.
The purchase of the new trucks, which will enhance the Group’s existing fleet, is in line with ENOC’s plans to partner with leading global brands that offer customer-friendly, cost-effective solutions. Renault Trucks and United Diesel will be delivering the highest standards of specialist after-sales support to ENOC, including 24/7 support, driver and technician training, and a comprehensive repairs and maintenance contract.

Renault Trucks has published a new Christmas video on its social media channels entitled ‘You are the ones’.
The short film is the latest in its #ProudProfessionals series – which has been running since 2017 and celebrates those working in transport and logistics – highlights members of the industry who continued to work during the pandemic and lockdowns.
“2020 has demonstrated just how vital the transport industry is to our country,” said Alex Williams, Renault Trucks’ head of brand and communications. “We wanted to celebrate the essential work and commitment shown by an industry that quietly gets on with the job, proudly and professionally.
