AN Israeli boy, 5, who was the sole survivor of a deadly cable car crash that killed his entire family, has woken from a coma as loved ones were laid to rest.
Eitan Biran, who suffered injuries to his skull, chest, and abdomen, remains in a critical condition after the Mottarone tragedy, while his relatives were repatriated to Israel for their funerals.

THE ITALIAN cable car boss who is accused of cutting corners is facing 30 years in prison over the horror crash that killed 14 people.
Manager Luigi Nerini 56, allegedly admitted to deliberately deactivating the emergency braking system, alongside the two other managers Gabriele Tadini and Enrico Perocchio.

The three men were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of aggravated manslaughter and two other offences related to the incident.
Luigi Nerini, 56, head of Ferrovie del Mottarone, the firm which manages the cable car in the Alps was arrested on Wednesday along with two colleagues Gabriele Tadini and Enrico Perocchio.
