Ruby s return is just like riding a bike | Sunshine Coast Daily

Premium Content Subscriber only An elite Coast cyclist has proven returning to competition really is just like riding a bike. In her comeback race after requiring surgery on her knee, Ruby Roseman-Gannon has taken out the inaugural women’s Gibraltar to Inverell race. Roseman-Gannon, along with her ARA Sunshine Coast Pro Racing men and women’s teammates, completed what was known as the toughest one-day cycling event in Australia. Roseman-Gannon took out first place in the NRS leader’s jersey, ahead of Josie Talbot (Camden CC) and Peta Mullens (Roxsolt Liv SRAM). Roseman-Gannon said it came down to the final corner but thanked the team for their support which helped her claim victory in the 136.6km race.

Coast team powers to national title success

Premium Content Subscriber only The Coast’s elite cycling team has capped an eventful road nationals campaign in the best way possible. ARA Pro Racing Sunshine Coast sent a complete squad of 21 cyclists, including nine women and 12 men, to the Cycling Australia National Road Titles last week. They competed across nine events over five days of competition in Ballarat. Alistair Donohoe kicked-off the run of success at the event by defending his title in the Para MC5 time trial. Pro Racing Sunshine Coast had varied results in other time trials, with Angus Lyons and Anya Louw among the better results after both placing ninth in their respective elite male and female events.
