As noted here last week, 2021’s SF Indiefest is currently under way, with its programming available for streaming through Thursday, Feb. 21. If you haven’t already checked out the excellent

Murmur, 50-something Canadian Donna (Shan MacDonald) is struggling to put her life in order. Recently paroled (the details of her criminal past are not revealed), Donna drinks a bit too much, vapes a bit too much, and is in need of stable employment to keep her parole officer happy.
Kathryn Drysdale has praised Bridgerton for casting a diverse range of actors, saying it s been the stuff of dreams to work on the series.
The actress, 39, who plays Genevieve Delacroix, said it s incredible to now be able to work on period dramas without having to just play long-suffering slaves or oppressed people in an interview with Digital Spy.
Her comments come after some viewers of the hit Netflix series, which was seen by 82 million households in its first month and used an inclusion lens to find a stellar cast, had criticised the show for its on-screen diversity. 1.67 billion minutes being watched, down about a billion minutes from the previous week when the show actually topped
Cobra Kai in the rankings. For comparison s sake,
Cobra Kai lost about 500 million minutes in time from the previous chart.

The 24-year-old actress plays the role of Marina Thompson, who comes to stay with the Featherington family while being introduced to society.
“I’d seen
Belle the film about Dido Elizabeth Belle who was a mixed race aristocrat in the Georgian period of time and I saw that film and was like ‘wow it would be so amazing to play that character but its already been made, I’m probably not gonna be in a period drama simply because of my race,’”
Ruby recalled in a video interview with Daily Mail.
She added, “Then obviously getting the casting through from
