The Texas Department of Public Safety has issued apologies over an Amber Alert sent last week that included the fictitious star of the Child s Play horror movie franchise.

The Amber Alert with Chucky went out late last week through an email. The alert not only included an image of the evil doll from the horror movies, but it also included age, height, weight, and eye color details. Including listing his race as Other: Doll .
Though this would appear to be some malicious hack of the Texas Department of Public Safety Amber Alert system, but it actually was much less than that.
His race was listed as Other: Doll.
Glen Ray, the main protagonist in 2004 s Seed of Chucky, was listed as the abductee, and was described as having a blue shirt and black collar. Both of their heights appeared to reflect their fictional size in the Child s Play horror franchise.

Don Mancini, the director, and writer who created the Chucky character responded to the mishap, tweeting: PLEASE FIND THEM.
