An official, in-person swearing-in for members of the Lorain City Charter Commission was conducted Dec. 22 by Lorain County Domestic Relations Judge Sherry Glass.
âThe Lorain Charter is being virtually sworn-in, and I was told there were some that didnât feel comfortable doing virtual, they wanted to in-person, Glass said. I also felt it was kind of nice because there arenât too many other judges doing in-person stuff at the moment, so I said that I was available and I could do it.â
Ruben Torres, one of the sworn-in commissioners, said the Charter Commission is a big deal for the Lorain citizens.

22-year-old middleweight prospect Richard Brewart Jr will return this Sunday (6:30 pm ET, Fight Hub TV) on another edition of Thompson Boxing’s “3.2.1. Boxing” series, facing fellow unbeaten fighter Louis Hernandez in a six-round matchup.
Brewart (7-0, 3 KO) hasn’t fought since February, when he rolled past journeyman Erick Daniel Martinez via third round stoppage, and the California native is itching to get back in the ring. He said it’s been a “grueling” camp, but that it has prepared him to stop Hernandez (8-0-1, 6 KO), a 26-year-old originally from Mississippi.
Brewart says there’s a bit of beef in the matchup, too.
