The Adult Survivors Act moves another step closer toward becoming law after the State Senate passes the bill Thursday with bipartisan support.
The legislation, similar to the Child Victims Act, would create a one-year window for the revival of time-barred civil lawsuits based on sex crimes committed against people who were 18 years of age or older. Advocates are now urging Assembly leaders to put the bill up for a vote in that chamber.

The 2021 Belmont Stakes is being run Saturday evening at Belmont Park with oddsmakers deeming Essential Quality as the early morning-line favorite. There will be no Triple Crown up for grabs since the winners of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes aren t competing. Last year, Tiz the Law won the Belmont for Sackatoga Stable. Amazon and Barnes and Noble have seeming pulled Dr. Anthony Fauci s upcoming book from online listings. Expect the Unexpected: Ten Lessons on Truth, Service, and the Way Forward, written by the nation s top infectious disease expert, was announced last month with a November publication date.
As of today, it s gone from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. No word if the move is related to the recent release of thousands of Fauci s emails, the contents of which drew fury from many Republicans, especially his comments on mask-wearing and the origins of COVID-19.

Taxpayers are reportedly forking over $2.5-million for Governor Cuomo s defense teams.
The New York Post got a hold of documents that show taxpayers are paying $900 an hour to his lead attorney. Cuomo is fighting charges that he used staff members to help write a book on his handling of coronavirus and also charges he hid the true number of coronavirus nursing home deaths. Cuomo made $5-million on the book. Cuomo says the way it works is the Executive Chamber covers legal costs.
