There may not be any team championships up for grabs during the abbreviated 2021 wrestling season, but that fact is not deterring Coach Bryan Heller and his Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School grapplers from wanting to achieve excellence as a team and as individuals.
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, the Bulldogs are focused on reaching the top Shore Conference postseason pod during the final week of the regular season and proving they are the best team in the conference before seeking individual success at the regional and the state tournaments.
North Caroline starts the season 2-0 with the big win over Kent Island

RIDGLEY, Del.- Behing three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) from senior QB Alex Walstrum, the North Caroline Bulldogs defeated Kent Island 26-20 to start the season 2-0. The loss drops the Buccaneers to 0-1.
The Buccaneers got out in front early with a first quarter touchdown but the Bulldogs responded to end the quarter. Alex Walstrum found Mason McFadden in the end zone to cut it to a 7-6 lead (XP NO GOOD). After a KI three and out, the Bulldogs took advantage. Walstrum tossed his second TD of the game, this one to Ryan Boyd to take the lead 14-7. On the ensuing Buccaneers drive, KI got to the ground attack. On a second down carry up the gut, Calvin Johnson outran the entire defense to the end zone to make it a 14-13 NC lead at the half.

March 10, 2021BRISTOL The play-in round of the Division III girls basketball tournament saw the Gilford girls hoop team make the trip to Bristol to take on the Bears of Newfound on Tuesday, March 2.
The host Bears scored nine of the first 10 points and never looked back, taking a 62-32 win to advance on in the postseason. Looking at the scoring, all eight players scored, which is what we re trying to do, said Newfound coach Kammi Williams. It hasn t been that in every game, but they picked a good night for it to happen.
