TinCaps lose to Great Lakes, 7-5, in front of season-high crowd
DYLAN SINN | The Journal Gazette
The TinCaps let a lead slip away for the fourth consecutive game and despite a raucous, season-largest crowd, dropped a fifth straight against the Great Lakes Loons, falling 7-5 in the series finale at Parkview Field.
How it Happened
It was the same old song at Parkview Field. For the fourth straight game, the TinCaps were unable to hold a lead. After coughing up advantages in the eighth, seventh and eighth in the last three games, this time it was the sixth that did in Fort Wayne.

Player of the day
Triple-A Oklahoma City has a rotation mostly filled with veterans, especially with top prospect Josiah Gray currently sidelined with a right shoulder impingement. On Tuesday, it was right-hander
Aaron Wilkerson’s time to shine.
Wilkerson took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, and settled for 6⅔ scoreless frames with seven strikeouts. He scattered two walks and a hit by pitch through the first six innings, his shot at history broken up by left fielder Ryan Vilade singling to open the seventh.
The fourth time turned out to be the charm for Wilkerson, who pitched in parts of three seasons (2017-19) with the Brewers, and signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers on April 30. In his first three starts with OKC, Wilkerson allowed 12 runs on 16 hits, including four home runs, in 11⅓ innings, losing all three. But with Tuesday’s gem he lowered his seasonal ERA to 5.50 to go with 17 strikeouts and four walks.
