A chef in new York City lost his job at the start of the pandemic. So he turned his talents to feeding the hungry on Long Island.
BELLMORE, N.Y. - Ryan Carroll was laid off on March 17, 2020. By the 18th, he had come up with a plan. I was a chef in New York City and lost my job, he said. We sell food to the public in order to raise money to feed thousands of people.
It started with a fresh chicken parm for his grandmother. And then the chef realized he could help others. He enlisted the help of newly unemployed hospitality workers like him. Together they formed Carroll s Kitchen in Bellmore.

Middletown police chase: 2 arrested, officer and suspect injured

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio â Two people were arrested after an hour-long police pursuit this morning in Middletown, according to Chief David Birk and reported by the Journal-News.
He said officers were called to CVS on Breiel Boulevard at 6:22 a.m. on a report that two people were passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot. Birk said police learned the two people had warrants.
As officers approached the vehicle, the driver, Ryan Carroll, 41, pulled out of the lot and struck police officer Brandon Reaman, who suffered minor injuries, Birk said.
