NEW YORK (AP) - Whether it s kimchi, beets or broccoli, the pandemic has had a strange impact on food cravings that goes beyond the joy of comfort eating.
Nearly a year into isolation, many people are embracing foods long forgotten or rejected for taste, texture or smell. Some have forced themselves to re-evaluate health-focused foods to help boost their immune systems. And with home cooking at a high, there s a new adventurousness in the kitchen.

This Was Our Pact, based on the bestselling and award-winning graphic novel by author Ryan Andrews. Will Collins, writer of the Golden Globes nominated
Wolfwalkers for Apple TV+, and the Academy Award-nominated
Song of the Sea, will adapt. Additionally, Emmy and Golden Globe winner Dinklage (
Game of Thrones) will voice one of the lead characters, a mysterious and charismatic bear.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development agency announced Jan. 21 the selection of Jim Park as Acting State Director in Nevada.
Park is filling the position after the departure of Phil Cowee. As an appointed official in the Trump Administration, Cowee resigned Jan. 20.
As Acting State Director, Park oversees delivery in Nevada of more than 50 programs administered by the Rural Housing Service, Rural Business and Cooperative Service and Rural Utilities Service.
Under the umbrella of USDA Rural Development, these programs provide financial and technical assistance to support infrastructure improvements; business development; housing; community facilities such as schools, public safety, and health care facilities; and high-speed internet access in rural areas. In 2020, these programs invested $151 million in rural Nevada communities.

Actor Peter Dinklage is coming up with an animated feature that could be the stress buster amid the ongoing health crisis.
As per an entertainment magazine, the Emmy-winning actor is set to voice one of the lead characters in the upcoming animated feature This Was Our Pact , based on the best-selling graphic novel by Ryan Andrews.
Dinklage, who is also bankrolling the forthcoming film with his and David Ginsberg s production company, will be lending his voice for the character of a mysterious and charismatic bear.
Los Angeles, Feb 9: Emmy-winner Peter Dinklage has been roped in to voice one of the lead characters in the upcoming animated feature “This Was Our Pact,”
