Joe Biden must speak out against apartheid in Israel

Now is the time for President Joe Biden to speak out against apartheid in Israel and for the U.S. to no longer support state-sanctioned violence and repression against Palestinians. Violence and civil unrest have broken out in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) waging airstrikes with U.S.-supplied bombs and flattening Palestinian high rise apartment buildings in Gaza and the Palestinian militant group Hamas launching rocket attacks. Dozens have been killed, mostly Palestinians, including children. This, as violence escalates in the streets, with Jewish supremacist lynchmobs in Proud Boys gear calling for “death to Arabs” and attacking Palestinians and Palestinian businesses with material support, and incitement from, the Israeli government.

Black & Jewish Talk Series opens up with A Conversation – Harvard Gazette

The Center for Jewish Studies and the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research debut Monday “Black & Jewish: A Conversation,” the first installment of a new joint venture to shed light on the multifaceted nature of Black and Jewish identities in North America. “Black & Jewish” is the first of three scheduled events this semester in the “Black & Jewish Talk Series,” focused on culture, politics, and religion. “There is a lot of focus on the relationship between Black communities and Jewish communities in the U.S., but Black and Jewish identity hasn’t received very much scholarly attention,” said Sara Feldman, a preceptor of Yiddish in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations and a co-organizer of the series. “There are many people in the United States who identify as both Black and Jewish. It’s time that their voices are amplified here at Harvard.”

Progressive Jews Engaging in Lies, Hypocrisy & Antisemitism: Part 1

shares Corey Balsam of Canada’s Independent Jewish Voices, filmmaker and Jewish Voice for Peace activist Rebecca Pierce, Wake (or perhaps Woke?) Forest University Prof Dr. Barry Trachtenberg, and Foundation for Middle East Peace (FMEP) President Lara Friedman recently got together on Zoom to attack the IHRA definition of antisemitism. I watched the entire thing so you won’t have to – but also to pick out the inevitable examples of the panelists’ lies, hypocrisy, and – wait for it – antisemitic talk. There is actually so much to highlight, I couldn’t confine it to just the one post. First up, we have Balsam admitting the Canadian Jewish community is pro-Israel, before going on to attribute Canada’s pro-Israel voting at the UN to the powerful Canadian “pro-Israel” lobby, even naming Jewish organizations who were behind the IHRA definition push:
