About 420,000 aid baskets are to be distributed to 1.68 million people affected by the pandemic. PUTRAJAYA: No one will be left behind in the government’s aid programmes to help people whose livelihoods have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. The Prime Minister said that as long as an individual needs help, the government will be able to find them and offer assistance under the Bakul Prihatin Negara aid programme. “All of our target groups, be it the B40 or M40, will receive aid. Even the T20 are affected as some have stopped working or are unable to run businesses due to the pandemic. We will aid all these people.

Be patient, rakyat urged

PUTRAJAYA: Fully vaccinated individuals may soon enjoy less stricter lockdown restrictions, including travelling, as the country gears itself towards a return to normalcy. With Malaysia’s Covid-19 immunisation programme advancing well, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has asked for patience as the government works out its National Recovery Plan. “I’ve asked for relaxation to be considered for those who have received two vaccine doses. “The National Recovery Plan is ongoing until the end of the year, so let’s be patient. “Be confident that we can win this war,” said Muhyiddin at a press conference yesterday. Muhyiddin said the national vaccination drive is a “light at the end of the tunnel” in the country’s battle against the Covid-19 pandemic.
