After freezing rain in Connecticut Tuesday afternoon, southern Connecticut is seeing reduced visibility into the early afternoon as fog moves in.
The National Weather Service indicated that locally dense fog will reduce visibility to about a half or quarter of a mile or less at times until around 12:15 p.m.
“Anyone out driving should be prepared for sudden changes in visibility, use low beam headlines or fog lamps and allow extra braking distance in case a sudden stop is needed,” the weather service said.

More winter weather is on the way this week, starting with a potential freezing rain and ice storm on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
Connecticut residents received a bit of a Valentine’s Day gift on Sunday when an expected winter storm failed to materialize.
However, the weather is expected to turn on Monday when snow and sleet are expected in northern Connecticut, the NWS said. The precipitation will mostly be rain or freezing rain in the southern half of the state, the NWS said.
