Creativity Connects Ridgefield: Meet Michael McNamara, Orchestra Director at RHS

Written by HH Creativity Connects Ridgefield  What fuels a vibrant, connected, and creative community? What makes people feel good about living in Ridgefield?  When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in Ridgefield.   Creativity connects us.  Tell us about an organization in your town that makes you feel good? Honestly, it may sound like cliche or backdoor advertising, but I think what my wife Jessica does with Ridgefield Suzuki School is remarkable. She is a true believer in what music does for kids, as am I. The community that she has built in her school and the progress those kids make at such a young age, with the level of parent engagement.I stand in awe. I have much to learn from my wife, and I am pretty sure she would agree!

RSO All Hearts Holiday Auction – A Resounding Success!

Written by RSO The Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra’s All Hearts Holiday Auction was a community effort, and a resounding success! What made the auction a success?  FIRST:  The proceeds from the auction and prior All Hearts Holiday fundraising activities will benefit RSO musicians who have not been able to perform with the orchestra since last February due to the health crisis.  These professional musicians make the RSO the marvelous orchestra it is and a valuable community asset. SECOND:  It was a true community effort, bringing together merchants, services providers, non-profits and individuals in support of performing artists, and in turn the RSO promoted shopping local for the holidays with these special community partners.
