East Ridge Police Department And Speedway Partner For Fill-A-Cruiser Event Feb. 27 Tuesday, February 23, 2021
The East Ridge Police Department in partnership with Speedway Corporation will participate in a “Fill-A-Cruiser” event on Saturday. The event will be held in the parking lot of Speedway, 4222 Ringgold Road from noon-3 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and assist in filling an East Ridge Police cruiser to help those in need. Police Officers will be at the location to accept donations, and you can remain in your car if you choose.
All donations will be taken to the East Ridge Food Pantry to benefit those in our community.

DENVER State and local agencies arrested 175 drivers statewide on suspicion of DUI over Super Bowl weekend, down from 229 arrests over the same weekend a year earlier, the Colorado State Patrol said Tuesday.
The enforcement period from Feb. 5-Feb. 8 saw increased patrols by 95 agencies, including many in the Denver metro area. It s one of 16 enforcement periods throughout the year to target impaired driving.

Police Blotter: Jail Inmate Wants Police To Keep An Eye On His Girlfriend; Missing Brother Doing Just Fine In Kentucky Saturday, January 23, 2021 Police responded to JC Penney, 2100 Hamilton Place Blvd. Officers made contact with a loss prevention associate who said that two black females came into the business the day before at around 7:30 p.m. and stuffed two large boxes with clothing and other merchandise. The women then fled out the side entrance without paying for the items. One woman was heavy set, wearing a red jump suit and a red baseball cap. The other woman was also heavy set, wearing a yellow hat, brown sweater and black jeans. The employee said the approximate value of the items stolen is $2,700.
