NORRISTOWN â An Upper Providence man faces several years of court supervision for stealing tools from a Limerick construction site and putting workers there in danger when he fled the scene in a vehicle after being confronted.
Matthew Lee Keiter, 58, of the 200 block of Old State Road, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½ to 23 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to charges of theft by unlawful taking and recklessly endangering other persons in connection with incidents that occurred between December 2019 and January 2020 at a construction site on West Ridge Pike in Limerick.
Judge Thomas C. Branca, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, immediately paroled Keiter, who was given credit for time he served in jail since January 2020. However, Branca also sentenced Keiter to three yearsâ probation, consecutive to parole, meaning Keiter essentially will be under court supervision for a total of about five years.
