Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 5) The government is setting up more facilities, including a triage system at the local government level, to help decongest hospitals affected by the continuous spike in COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila, officials said on Monday.
In an interview with CNN Philippines, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said the government will also continue to expand modular bed capacities for intensive care unit patients, adding that officials have already identified sites where the tents can be built.
“One of which is in Taguig, the property of a GOCC corporation and then the other is in the PICC [Philippine International Convention Center] area,” Roque told CNN Philippines
